Patagonia: which months for skiing and climbing?

Climate in Patagonia is… quite patagonic! impetuous, often windy and sometimes just sunny and perfect!

That being said, there’s still best times to ski and climb in Patagonia:

• For backcountry skiing:
  septembre and october in North Patagonia, tu ski around the Volcanoes of Patagonia
  septembre to november for backcountry skiing in South Patagonia, around Chalten

• For climbing: best months are december to february
  You can keep in mind that climate in North Patagonia (Bariloche, Frey…) is usually much better than South Patagonia’s (Chalten, Torres del Paine…). So a good strategy can be to set your base in North Patagonia and keep an eye on the weather forecast, ready to head down South. Weather forecasts (Windguru and Noaa) are quite accurate in Patagonia so you can prepare your program 7 days ahead without much surprise!
