North of Patagonia is a region famous for its volcanoes. It’s also known as the “Araucanía” or the “Lakes Region”. On the Andean Cordillera you can find as much as 140 volcanoes surrounded by its thermal baths.
Most of the volcanoes of Patagonia are called by mapuches names (the native people of the region). Lot of these volcanoes are still active!

Day 1 – Bariloche to the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes en Chile (the base of Casablanca volcano)
Night in the Antillanca hut
Day 2 – Ascent to Casablanca volcano (2 240 m)
+ 1 200 m / possibility to ski the crater!
Travel and night in Pucón
Day 3 – Ascent to Villarica volcano (2 847 m)
+ 1 650 m
Night in Los Pozones thermal baths
Day 4 – Relax in the Pozones thermal baths or day of back-up meteo
Travel from Pucón to Llaima volcano base
Night in Curacautín
Day 5 – Ascent to Llaima volcano (3 125 m)

Travel to Lonquimay volcano base. Night in Curacautín.
